The Next Android Challenge: Context

I want to accomplish a very simple task:

1. Create a document using my phone.
2. Print it.

I sure hope Google does come up with something better than CUPS.

The bigger picture question would be - how does Android device become aware of its immediate surroundings and make itself usable?
